I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your marvelous works and wonderful deeds! I will rejoice in You and be in high spirits; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High!
Praise is one of the most powerful tools we have in our walk with Christ. The word tells us that for the spirit of heaviness, put on the garment of praise. If we want to confuse and defeat the enemy, we can use praise as our weapon. Praise can also turn away the wrath of God, and help bring about abundant blessings in our lives.
Praise can also be expressed in many ways. We can praise god audibly, through words and song, and even physically through dance and raising of hands.
We recognize the benefits of praising God and we even know how to praise him through our own personal expressions but we should ask ourselves is our praise to God really pure and purposed from our heart? Psalms 9:1 says “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart”, signifying that our heart should be the controlling force for our praise.
During the remainder of this week please remember that our praise should be pure and purpose driven from our heart, straight to the heart of God.
Declaration: I will have Purpose Driven Praise
Prayer: Father thank you for the ability to praise you. Thank you for the various ways you have given us to praise you. Your word tells us that you inhabit the praises of your people. Help us to always praise you with our whole heart. In Jesus name. Amen!
